Decadence soaked in chartreuse or warmed on a red hot fire could possibly describe a yummy dessert, at a push an exotic cocktail. But, here, it’s all about luxury with a captial L as in Lamborghini and Lotus.
Those enticing colours and fine lines accompanied by power and dreams are for many, just a picture in a magazine. But in West Palm Beach, these European beauties sit, parked on their custom built stands, outside their custom built showroom luring the eyes of drivers and passerbys to stop, look, and ask each other dream questions.

Seldom are these cars seen on the roads of New Zealand, unless being filmed for a commercial. The frequency increases around southern Florida, as this region attracts wealth, old and new. Multi-cuturalism infiltrates everyday life here: in the cuisines, languages and music, and the visual arts. And if you are fortunate enough, in luxury brands.
Whether it’s English or Italian, French or Japanese, a finely crafted sports car — made for pleasure and respect, sometimes lust — needs to be talked about and photographed as the opportunities arise. It’s as fun as those dream questions being asked while standing around.
As for me, I’m a red colour person but I do like all things Italian. All donations of course will not be overlooked.

Racing fan yes! The Lotus is quite a frugal buy for a club racer — nothing to take out for weight reduction, no carpet, no cruise control — if it’s not for acceleration or handling the car does not have it
you wouldn’t guess it was kind of empty on the inside, judging by the exterior.
I saw a Lamborghini outside my apartment this week. Don’t normally get excited about cars but that was really beautiful.
Much nicer to see one of these cars than the typical Japanese or Korean sedan
Yes, it’s kind of empty bit only in the sense of nothing extraneous — a la a Shelby Cobra AC or a Jaguar E Type
Oh yes, one more thing. The Lotus, and perhaps the Lambo, has no cup holder in it. So one must drink coffee as it is best enjoyed — in a cafe
