    My theory is that, maybe the complaints are more from foreigners who are not used to getting their steak well done! Maybe Sarapoi needs to clarify on their menu that it’s a Filipino-style steak- with sauce!

    If you’re looking for a mouth-watering seafood experience on Bantayan Island, then this is the place to be. This well-regarded restaurant is famous for its extensive menu and excellent service, which makes it a favorite among both locals and tourists alike.

    And if you’re a fan of scallops, then you’ll definitely want to try these medium size scallops, which are cooked to perfection and served in butter and garlic- and served still in their shells!

    We ordered a plateful of these scallops and had it cooked in butter and garlic. The presentation was stunning, and the aroma was mouthwatering. When we took our first bite, we were blown away by the tenderness of the scallops and the perfect balance of butter and garlic. It was a truly unforgettable experience.

    Of course, Sarapoi has plenty of other great dishes on its menu. Their curry and naan bread is another crowd favorite, with customers raving about the delectable taste and generous portion sizes.

    And if you’re in the mood for something meaty, their sizzling steak is another must-try dish, although some customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the heavy sauce and the quality of the beef. Well we did try this one and while we also liked it, it was true that it was a bit heavy on the sauce.

    I hope you won’t skip this gem when you’re in Bantayan! It’s very likely that if you’re staying at beach-front resorts around Bobel Beach , you may need to take a tricycle or take a motorcycle ride to reach the food park which is just 5 minutes away. My best recommendation is for you to go to their resort so you have a go at their different drinks, and food and even get some pasta and high-quality sushi. You might even enjoy the seemingly private beach due to its location.

    Now, let’s talk about their signature drink, the cappuccino Freddo. This drink is perfect for those who love their coffee cold and creamy.

    The café’s location in Indai Aquasports and Resort makes it convenient for tourists to visit and enjoy the beautiful scenery while sipping on their coffee.     Meldy’s opens early in the morning perfect for a hearty breakfast before you explore the island. The combination of garlic fried rice, egg, and your choice of meat or protein is simple yet satisfying, and the generous portions will keep you fueled for hours. We also loved their calamares!

    For a Filipino local, I find Meldy’s a great choice for my meals as they serve affordable and big servings. However, foreigners may not find Meldys too satiisfactory for them as like what you may read when you check the place out on Google Map.

    As for the meal that I ordered I actually got two different longganisa since why not right? Haha. I’m a super fan of cured meats so I always make sure to taste the different versions whenever I see one.

    The price point for the food that they offer is very reasonable, given that most of the establishments in the area are catering to tourists and foreigners. It’s definitely worth every penny, and you’ll leave feeling full and satisfied. The portion sizes are very generous, so you’ll definitely get your money’s worth.

    Whether you’re in a rush to start your day or just want to sit and savor the flavors, these breakfast meals are the perfect way to kickstart your morning. . The ambiance is cozy and laidback, and the food is delicious and satisfying. It’s no wonder that locals and tourists alike rave about this quaint eatery even when they don’t have a social media have official social media pages!

    Meldy’s was a perfect food trip starter for us on our night in Bantayan Island.

    Personally, I was amazed when more than one local actually recommended it to us.

    However, when you search for them online, there were also some negative reviews that mentioned issues with cleanliness, availability of certain dishes, and overcooked seafood. But these were written years ago by foreigners.

    ✨Their mobile coffee, has been making waves with their Spanish Latte, and I can attest that it is definitely worth the hype.

    ✨So, what exactly is a Spanish Latte? Essentially, it’s a twist on the classic latte, combining perfectly brewed espresso with a hint of sweetened condensed milk. The result is a creamy, smooth, and oh-so-delicious coffee concoction that will have you dreaming of warm Spanish nights and vibrant flamenco dances.

    As of writing a cup of this latte’s ranges from P80 for a hot cup, P100 for medio size (cold), and P115 for grande (cold), you get a high-quality coffee experience without breaking the bank.

As the Chicken Inasal meal is presented to the table, it’s easy to see why it has gained such popularity. The plate features a fresh-off-the-grill chicken quarters. The dish is well-presented and visually appealing without being overly elaborate.

    The Chicken Inasal itself is tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Which I think would be a marinade, made from a blend of native spices, vinegar, and calamansi, gives the chicken a rich, savory taste with a hint of tanginess. A single meal from We Deliver is cheap but filling enough to satiate a student or anyone who’s on a budget. They even mentioned that they charge an additional P10 for take-out transactions to keep their margins low for students. We Deliver definitely is the most student-budget-friendly place when you’re near UPLB.

    Best to expect a jampacked place during dinner and lunchtime as the place is a bit small and cannot cater to everyone who would want to dine in. But think about it, what is a mere P10 for a cause that supports keeping scholars well fed, right?
