    Liwayway Eatery- Laguna’s Hummus Toast is a great snack when you’re up for quick fixes plus it’s a great food choice if you’re up to try the different options around Mercato LB. Liwayway Eatery usually post every month on their social pages the schedule of their stall and where to find them. Usually they’ll either be at their Umali spot, or at Mercato LB and

    Another Liwayway pick that we can recommend is their Margherita Pizza which is a greater palate starter when you’re up into checking out the other stalls around Mercato LB. The one on the right is a newly offered pizza, Creamy Spinach, that we’re excited to try anytime soon!

    You may find that their sourdough breads and pizzas are not too sour. I found out that they specifically intended to do this through a dough-making technique called poolish.     This store is permanently closed.

    We have absolutely full and happy tummies whenever we go back for this Pork Sisig from Hungry U that you can try when you’re around Los Banos. It’s located on the farthest stall on the food garage just across Jollibee Junction (beside Mercury Drug).

    ✨Their sisig sometimes run out early due to the load of orders from their loyal customers from different offices from Los Banos to Calamba area. Amazing, right?

    The best parking area would be on the underground parking of Robinson’s Los Banos since it’s the nearest parking area around there.

    Due to the consistent quality of their sisig you might want to check first if they still have sisig in stock since it runs out early at times.

    You may want to reserve a platter or a sisig meal by reaching them on their numbers ahead to make sure that you get to taste this dish.

    This is best paired with the Pinikas Silog/Platter from Elbi Balay (another stall in the same food park).

    Hungry U offers different sizzling meals, burgers and they even have liquor! The pork sisig platter is under their pulutan choices, and we’re sure it’s a great beer pair for sure!

    In case you want to add Hungry U for your next food trip around Los Baños or when you’re around food crawling in Laguna, we recommend that you go together with a group so you can enjoy the different dishes available and share them together!

    Hungry U’s pork sisig requires a lot of rice, if you’re up to eating it alone. It’s not the usual sisig made from pork face as it’s more made of liempo (or pork belly). We even always request to have less onion whenever we order.

    Hungry U doesn’t have other branches but despite that, make sure to message them first before you come in case you want their sisig. We usually message their Facebook page hours before so they can save us a platter since it’s very unpredictable when their stock will run out.

    Si Christina Gateau’s best seller are their Sans Rival cake but it’s worth noting that their other pasta meals are also great. 

    This place is known around San Pablo City as one of the most accessible restaurants if you want an upscale dining experience around Laguna.

    While their prices are at par with Manila-based restaurants they make sure to makeup for it by their great interiors, attentive staff and quality dishes.

    The first thing I noticed was how the black pasta, which gets its color from squid ink, made the shrimp and scallops really stand out. The whole dish looked awesome and made me excited to dig in. The sauce was a mix of garlic, white wine, and butter, and it brought everything together perfectly. It was light and didn’t take away from the great taste of the seafood.

    Si Christina Gateaus’s Shrimp and Scallops Black Pasta is a great palate refresher if you want to veer away from your usual meats.

    I ordered the dinner-sized meal right-away –which is their biggest size– and was able to finish it all even though it was enough to be shared by two. The mix of yummy shrimp and scallops, interesting black pasta, and tasty sauce makes for a really enjoyable meal. Give it a shot, and you’ll definitely be happy you did!

    Customers love their sans-rival cakes for their being light, airy, and being not too buttery or sweet.
